High School and at Ithaca College. He wrote for newspapers and broadcasted sports while in high school and college, as well as participated. He is an active, practicing litigation attorney who has practiced law for over twenty-nine years in New Jersey, Ohio and West Virginia. in Television/Radio with an emphasis in Sports Communications and a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law. He is a graduate of Ithaca College with B.S. He takes a special interest in analyzing and attempting to forecast the performance of boxers in fights. Other fighters he has seen fight live include but are not limited to: George Foreman, Mike Tyson, Arturo Gatti, Tim Witherspoon, Ray Mercer, Bobby Czyz, Tony Ayala, Jr., Frank Fletcher, Miguel Cotto, Michael Grant, Andrew Golota, David Tua, and Roy Jones, Jr. He has been a life-long follower and historian of the sport and fights he attended live include but are not limited to: Morales-Barrera I, Holyfield-Lewis I and De La Hoya-Vargas. He comments, podcasts and writes about boxing. HBO's go-to guys, Larry Merchant and Max Kellerman, do an admirable job I think. A good color commentator is full of boxing-knowledge such as history, records, lineage, etc. Often, color commentators are expert non-participants. John Einreinhofer is a native of Newfoundland, New Jersey. The role of the Color Commentator, is to tell the 'story' of the fight. Cárdenas is fluent in Russian and Spanish and has average knowledge of English, Ukrainian, Italian, and German. For several years he has contributed to the Boxing Channel and Boxing Zone as an editor, commentator, and presenter. Many consider him Costa Rica’s “Voice of Boxing.” He is the director and founder of the radio program Sports Program and the television program Neutral Corner which is unique of its kind in Costa Rica because it is totally dedicated to boxing and broadcast nationally. He lives in Costa Rica, where he serves as Chief Information Editor for the news program Central Television News, but his most recognized work is as a boxing commentator and presenter. As a professional journalist, he has covered world championship fights and world amateur championships including the Pan American Games for nearly 25 years. His first live contact with boxing was in Havana in 1974, during the first World Amateur Boxing Championships. Lázaro Malvarez Cárdenas was born in Havana, Cuba.
